Author of the Bally company history (the "Geschichte"), the second of the two
big narrative sources for this family. He calls Otto Wyser "Vetter Otto Wyser"
throughout and records his death on 2 Aug 1914 in a single sentence set into the
account of the outbreak of the war, with the marginal heading "Tod von Otto Wyser"
(Geschichte p. 471).
He travelled to Satteins and Tschagguns in Vorarlberg in 1913-14 to trace the
family's origins, and found the name written there as Bale, Paale and Bahl.
Probably the sitter in the charcoal portrait photographed in the Ballyana archive,
signed and dated 1922.
