| Franklin Mickelsen and Propaganda During the Korean War According to Carolyn Wilkinson, "My brother, Frank, served as Graphics Officer, US Army Psychological Warfare from '51 to' 54. This was a brand new branch in the Army. Among his things after he passed away I found this fat scrapbook filled with all of the leaflets that had been dropped over enemy lines. I kept it and one time we had a United Airlines pilot (Dick Koran) who happened to be a serious history buff stay at Hale Kimo and I asked his advice. He suggested I donate it to the West Point library. I wrote, they were interested, and he delivered to them for me. It is in their Special Collections section. So now it is a piece of history! Better than sticking it up in the attic! I wrote his sons what I had done with it and they were pleased."

| Gottfried Wyser - From Niedergösgen - Eine Reise durch die Geschichte by Beat Holder, 2008 Translated by Ingeborg Gowans:
"Christkatholisch" 1 Association/ (Families) in Nieder-Gösgen
FAMILY CERTIFICATE

Nieder–Gösgen May 18,1900 - Signature: Wyser Gottfried
1 (explanation)"Christkatholische Gemeinschaft" is a group within the Catholic church which does not recognize the ultimate authority of the Pope. Its church structure is based on the synodal system. It also allows women to enter into priesthood. It does adhere to some of the Catholic practices like the Eucharist for example. It is fully recognized in Switzerland along with the Roman Catholic Church and the Protestant-Reformed Church.
2nd example: Gottfried Wyser
Peter Heim chronicled an equally fascinating emigration story during this time, named "the Kingdom of Bally"
Gottfried Wyser - trade unionist for Bally (33)
Gottfried Wyser, born in 1872 in Gelterkinden, entered into the Bally shoe factory in 1887 starting his apprenticeship. He roamed the globe for many years (finding himself in the French Foreign legion and fought in Indochina as well as Madagascar).
He finally returned to his job. He re-entered the services of Bally enterprise, this time in Schönenwerd. In 1907 he became the spokesman in a strike and was sympathetic to anarchistic concepts. (34) After the strike Bally let him go.
