"In Alameda, June 24, 1900, Leon, beloved son of Mr. & Mrs. J. Morris, and brother of Jack, Irvin, Rose, and Nettie Morris, a native of Stockton, California, aged 27 years 2 months and 18 days. Friends and acquaintances are respectfully invited to attend the funeral this day (Tuesday) from the residence of his uncle K. Morris, 1809 Webster Street, at 10:00 thence by 11:30 train from corner of Third and Townsend Streets to Salem Cemetery. OFFICERS and members of Court Palo Alto Number 53, F. of A. [Foresters of America], will meet at their hall at 10:00 sharp to attend the funeral of their late brother, Leon Morris. By order of C.R. Leo Kaufmann, Secretary."
