Article from the Western Mail, Cardiff, 1 Jun 1882, issue 4074. "Mr. Clement Parker, gardener to Mr. E. Fowler of Pontypool, exhibits nothing but orchids. These are of very fine quality, and prsent an almost infinite variety of colour, but it is a pity Mr. Fowler did not instruct his gardener to thoroughly unpack the flowers before staging them. As on Tuesday morning there was wool around them."

Stanley G Charles, their son, DOB 4 DEC 1915, single, is a Centre & Herbert Lathe Worker.

The probate section is in Latin. A translation is:
"The before written testament of William Crumpelher of Winterborne Kingston deceased was proved before the reverend Sir John Gordon Doctor of Theology Dean of the Cathedral church of Salisbury on the thirteenth day of the month of May AD 1614. There was granted etc to the executors named in the same sworn in the lawful form etc Saving the rights of anyone etc.

Value of the Inventory £127 12s. 4d."
