This document, from the collection of the State Records of South Australia, shows Edith Wyser, "native born," age 14 1/2 years, sentenced to the reformatory school in Magill "until she shall attain the age of 18 years as an uncontrollable girl." It appears that her father arranged for her admission, and that they lived at the time on Grenfell Street, Adelaide. Reasons for admission are stated as "recommendation" by Magistrate Masedale.
Admission was on 27 Nov 1882, and she was released on 23 Dec 1882.
